About the opportunity: GTM Lead

You will be our first full-time go-to-market (GTM) hire. We’re seeing great signs of customer love  – as one example, our 46% conversion rate from trial to paying – and we’ve had some early wins on the GTM side – with content, inbound marketing, and our Tech Leader Chats community, which now has ~700 product & engineering leaders all around the world. Now it’s time to scale and help more people learn about our work. 

You will play a pivotal role in setting and executing on our go-to-market strategy. We’re looking for a generalist – someone who’s excited about both creating the strategy and executing on it. We’ll share what we’ve done so far, and then you’ll set the strategy, run experiments, and help us decide where to double down. Along the way, you’ll help us communicate clearly to our audience of engineering and product leaders. Once leads come into the funnel, you can hand them off to others on the team for the sale. Ultimately, you will be the main unlock for growth, driving awareness and demand so we can connect with values-aligned customers.

In a given week, you might:

  • Kick off the week by meeting with Lauren (our founder) and Vivek (head of AI strategy, also does GTM work) to review recent GTM experiments and the sales pipeline
  • Testing new messaging with customers for our website or an upcoming product launch, via calls that you have organized
  • Meeting with a customer to write up a success story for our website
  • Set and implement the content marketing strategy – from podcasts to conferences, identify where our audience spends time and support with outreach and writing applications so people across the Multitudes team get to share their stories
  • Check in with and support our external contractors – people like Berta, who leads community management for our 700-person Tech Leader Chat Slack & Meetup community
  • Work with Annie, our product designer, to improve our marketing website
  • Work with Lauren, Emily, Hazel, and Huanhuan (the engineering team) to support our monthly product launches – making sure we have the content prepared on time and managing the launch communications on socials, email, etc.
  • Identify partnership opportunities and help us set up strong relationships – this could include reaching out to thought-leaders and setting up Tech Leader Chats for our community
  • Develop and execute on the digital marketing strategy (though this could include finding & managing contractors to help us with this) – improving SEO/SEM, building campaigns, improving our web landing pages, testing out performance marketing campaigns (e.g., social media, adwords), and using Google Analytics and other tools to measure progress
  • Engage with our customers on Slack to help answer questions and improving our Help Center docs as needed
  • Throughout all of this, live our values

This role has the potential to scale as our company grows.

Core skills

  • Strong analytics foundation and excitement about bringing a data-driven approach to running GTM
  • Deep customer empathy – you’re eager to meet with customers to better understand their pain points, test messaging, and craft stories about their successes
  • Strong communication skills with writing experience across different mediums (blog, website, email)
  • Digital marketing experience in B2B SaaS (e.g., across SEO, paid search,  etc.)
  • Experience in working with audiences outside of ANZ – the majority of our customers are in North America and Europe
Nice to have
  • Experience in growth within a modern B2B SaaS company
  • Experience with Webflow, Figma, and Hubspot
  • Experience with coding and/or working with developers

This is a role where the sky’s the limit – we’ll support you in the first month to learn more about the product and our audience, and then we’ll back you to take the lead in finding the right experiments, clear messaging, and values-aligned contractors to help us along the way.
